Sistem Absensi Sekolah via WhatsApp Berbasis Web untuk Wali Murid Di SMAN 2 Sutera

Abstract

The school attendance system is a crucial component in education management, which plays an important role in monitoring student attendance. This study proposes the development of a WhatsApp-based attendance system for guardians at SMAN 2 Sutera. By utilizing popular instant messaging applications, this system aims to facilitate communication between schools and parents in the process of reporting student attendance. The methods used include data collection through surveys and interviews with guardians and teachers. The results of the study indicate that the use of WhatsApp increases efficiency and effectiveness in managing attendance, reduces reporting errors, and strengthens parental involvement in children's education. This system is expected to be implemented more widely to improve the quality of attendance management in educational institutions.
