Perancangan Sistem Informasi Penerimaan Peserta Didik Baru (PPDB) Pada SMP N 3 Limbur Lubuk Mengkuang Berbasis Web

Abstract

Acceptance of New Students is the first step in themanagement of school services to the community in the world of education. How does a school carry out product promotions and at the same time excellent service starting with student acceptance, then students/parents get portal access, where the design begin swith requirements, design, implementation, verification and maintenance. The process of accepting new students at educational institutions often involves a lot of complicated documents and processes. Therefore, a web-based PPDB information system was builtas a solution to increase accessibility, speed and accuracy in theprocess. In this research, a literature study on PPDB will be carried out, data collection related to the requirements and procedures for accepting new students, information system design, system implementation,  testing,  and  reporting.  This  web-based  PPDB information  system  will  include  features  such  as  online  registration, digital document collection, a selection and assessment system  for prospective students, and transparent announcement of selectionresults. With the web-based PPDB information system designed and developed in this study, it is hoped that the process of acceptingnew students at educational institutions can become more efficient, structured, and provide convenience for prospective students andrelated  parties.  This  system  will  help  educational  institutions better  manage  and  track  data  on  new  students,  so that  the  admissionsprocess can be carried out more accurately and effectively.
