OPTIMALISASI PROSES PENYEWAAN COSTUM COSPLAY PADANG BERBASIS WEB STUDI KASUS : ZISA COSRENT

Abstract

The rapid growth of the cosplay industry in Padang City has created significant opportunities for costume rental businesses. However, the manual management system at Zisa Cosrent has posed operational challenges and limited customer service. This study designs and implements a web-based e-commerce system using PHP and MySQL to optimize the cosplay costume rental process. The waterfall methodology is employed through system analysis, design, implementation, and testing phases. Core features include an online costume catalog, user registration and management, ordering, payment processing, and automated transaction reporting. The system enhances transaction speed, stock data accuracy, and customer accessibility. Moreover, it facilitates local business digitalization by reducing administrative workload and expanding market reach via digital marketing. System testing results indicate positive outcomes in stability, security, and user satisfaction. This research contributes strategically to the development of e-commerce information systems for local creative businesses and recommends future enhancements such as integration with social media and mobile applications to strengthen competitiveness.
